■FDE (Forward-Deployed Engineer)

Job Description

Simply put, we want to entrust you with the task of “immersing yourself deeply in the client’s front lines, leveraging your technical expertise and business acumen to redefine complex challenges into ‘solvable problems,’ and implementing and resolving them on the spot.”
While typical engineers begin work only after “what to build” has been decided, FDE’s mission is to derive the “why and how” directly from the client’s on-site environment and build prototypes at lightning speed.

・Focus on “whether we can fully deliver” rather than “whether we can build it,” and communicate in a way that immediately incorporates on-site feedback
・Identify and address on-site challenges, then translate them into operational specifications
・Conduct rapid prototyping and agile development, including the ability to rewrite code on the same day
・Collaborate with the development team to translate technical solutions into designs that are easy for non-engineers to understand

Frontend: TypeScript/JavaScript, Next/React/Vue/Angular/Astro
Backend: Java/PHP/C#/C++/Python/Go/Ruby/Haskell, etc., various frameworks, API Gateway, gRPC
Mobile: Flutter/Kotlin/Swift/React Native
Infrastructure: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/CDK, etc.), GitOps, serverless
Data/AI: Various generative AI technologies, vector databases, RAG platforms, BigQuery/Snowflake, MLOps, etc.

Why is there a demand for FDE roles right now, rather than traditional systems engineers or consultants? The reason is the need to bridge the gap between “technology” and “the field” as much as possible.
In today’s digital transformation landscape, the challenges clients face have become so complex that they often “don’t even know what the problem is.” Furthermore, in this day and age, systems built once and forgotten quickly become obsolete.

・Traditional Model
Sales and consulting teams bring back requirements and pass them on to the development team through a game of telephone. This process causes subtle nuances from the field and data distortions to be lost, resulting in systems that do not match reality.

・The Role of FDE
Developers themselves stand on the front lines with the client, engaging directly with raw data and challenges. By writing code and building prototypes on the spot, they can identify “the right problem to solve” at an overwhelmingly faster pace.
FDE doesn’t simply deliver a product and walk away; instead, they observe how the system is actually used on-site and repeatedly make improvements (iterations) in real time. Just a few hours after a user on the front lines says, “This part is hard to use,” the fix is already implemented. Shortening this feedback loop dramatically increases the success rate of the final product.

In today’s world, the value of “people who understand technology making immediate decisions and taking action on the front lines” has become extremely high. FDE is sought after as a “miracle cure” that eliminates theoretical speculation and directly translates technology into business results.

Qualifications and Conditions of Application

・At least 5 years of experience in web system development (any programming language is acceptable, but candidates should have broad experience primarily with modern languages)
・At least 5 years of experience in client-facing work
・Experience in upstream processes such as requirements definition and basic design

・Candidates with expertise in a specific domain
・Candidates with business domain knowledge
・Candidates with experience in the earliest stages of requirements definition

・Technical Excellence and Curiosity: Not tied to any specific language, able to quickly learn and apply the most suitable technology to solve problems. As a “hands-on” engineer, writing clean code is not an end in itself; you derive the greatest satisfaction from knowing “whose problem the code solved and how.”
・Strong business acumen: Someone who can leverage business insight to redefine complex challenges into “solvable” problems.
・Emotional intelligence (EQ): Someone who can thoughtfully devise genuine solutions that benefit customers and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
・High resilience: Someone with the tenacity to blaze a trail through uncertain, on-the-ground situations where there are no clear-cut answers, through repeated trial and error.

■AIOps Product Development Engineer

Job Description

Depending on your skills and experience at the time of hire, you will be assigned to one of the following positions. Age is not a factor; decisions are based solely on your skills and experience. We also anticipate opportunities for career advancement to other positions in the future.

1. Operations Engineer (Cloud Operations Engineer with an SRE Focus)
・Improve existing operational workflows—whether cloud-based or on-premises—using AI and automation
・Build automated pipelines for log collection and analysis
・Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) testing to detect early signs of system failures from time-series data using machine learning libraries
・Automate initial triage of failure alerts and ticket creation using generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT API), in compliance with ITIL incident management processes

2. As an Operations Manager (Operations Process Optimization)
・Managing the operations team and leading the enhancement of overall operational processes
・Selecting SaaS and AI tools and driving their implementation and adoption into business processes
・Implementing monitoring infrastructure (e.g., Datadog) and optimizing monitoring metrics
・Building a system that leverages large language models (LLMs) to propose solutions during incident response
・Reducing response times and overtime by promoting the automation of routine tasks

3. As an AI Strategy Director (Cross-Departmental)
・Drive cross-departmental AI strategy and governance
・Establish rules and a governance framework with a view toward organization-wide AI adoption
・Design advanced operational frameworks, including vendor management
・Develop internal AI usage guidelines and conduct security risk assessments
・Negotiate with vendors; define requirements for and oversee the implementation of enterprise AI operations support solutions
・Plan and execute reskilling programs for legacy operations teams

Our division, which has traditionally focused on BPO (operations and maintenance) services, anticipates that operational and maintenance costs will decline over the medium to long term due to the evolution of AI. Consequently, we need to proactively create new revenue streams through AI that are not solely dependent on these services. To achieve this, we are recruiting an “AIOps Product Development Engineer.”

・You will be involved in both the AI-driven transformation of daily operations and maintenance tasks (streamlining incident response and automating routine tasks) and the launch of new AIOps products from scratch
・In the future, we plan to roll out the solutions we develop to external operations outsourcing companies (primarily small and medium-sized enterprises) and establish a recurring-revenue business model that supports our clients’ transition to in-house operations.
・Depending on your skills and experience, you will have the opportunity to excel in one of three positions—“Operations Engineer,” “Operations Manager,” or “AI Strategy Director”—and, of course, advance your career in the future.

Qualifications and Conditions of Application

Operations Engineer: Experience in cloud and on-premises operations; experience in automation and script development using Python or similar languages; strong interest in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and the ability to work independently
Operations Manager: Experience in establishing and improving operations processes; experience leading the implementation of SaaS tools; experience in team management
AI Strategy Director: Practical experience in formulating AI strategies and governance across the entire company and business units; experience in defining requirements and implementing enterprise-level solutions; experience in vendor management

Operations Engineer: CKA, ITIL 4 Foundation, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Python 3 Engineer Certification: Data Analysis Exam, JDLA G Certification
Operations Manager: IT Service Manager Exam / Project Manager Exam, ITIL 4 Managing Professional, PMP, Advanced AWS Certifications, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), JDLA E Certification
AI Strategy Director: IT Strategist Exam, System Auditor Exam, CISM, ITIL 4 Master, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

・Someone who can standardize and enhance operations while actively incorporating the latest technologies and AI
・Someone who can proactively identify issues and drive improvements
・Someone who wants to contribute to the organization’s digital transformation by streamlining and enhancing operations
