Notice: Participation as the Main Sponsor for the Student-Organized “Tsukuba AI Hackathon”
System i Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce our participation as the main sponsor for the “Tsukuba AI Hackathon,” an event organized by student groups from the University of Tsukuba, held from September 20 to September 27, 2026.
The Tsukuba AI Hackathon is a practical, hands-on hackathon designed for students with a focus on AI utilization, co-hosted for the first time by the University of Tsukuba student groups TSC (Tsukuba Student Community) and TDG (Tsukuba Developers Guild). It is also an officially recognized university event certified by the University of Tsukuba’s student support initiative, the “T-ACT (Tsukuba Action Project).”
In an era of rapid AI-driven change, System i believes that the very process of students learning through trial and error reveals the essential capabilities required for future engineers. Recognizing this event as an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with students’ technical proficiencies, critical thinking, and teamwork dynamics, we have joined as the main sponsor. We have been actively involved from the planning phase, including theme design, and engineers from System i will also support the participants on-site as mentors.
