General Manager, Advanced Technology Division and
CTO
S.O.

Details of the work he is responsible for

My position does not allow me to work 100% on specific projects for specific clients. I am often involved in internal workflow improvement, recruiting, training, training new employees, coordinating among group companies, and pre-sales. I also work on a spot basis on projects that are in a pinch, and when I get over the pinch, I leave. Currently, as part of workflow improvement, I am trying to use technology to solve the way communication among group companies works, which is one of the highest technological hurdles I have ever faced in my career, and I am enjoying it very much.

Biography and personal strengths

My first job in the industry was building web applications in C. I think I was using Oracle's Web Application Server back in the days when there was no Apache, let alone Nginx. After that, I discovered Java, and after a series of experiences with server-side Java, I changed my career to embedded Java. I invested my resources in embedded Java during the feature phone era, but the advent of Android rewrote the map of the embedded Java industry, and I changed my career to Android and IoT again after that. I know most things about Android since I had a series of articles in the media for 8 years starting in 2008. IoT is not a product or a service by itself, so I inevitably acquired knowledge of the cloud.

About the interesting and rewarding aspects of working at System I

I am proud to say that I am a relatively tech-savvy person, but I would like to use my knowledge not only for myself, but also to improve the skills of all employees. However, it is impossible for me to accomplish this alone, so I am trying to cultivate a community within the company and increase the number of contributors who think like me. According to Audrey Tang, Taiwan's Minister of Digital Affairs, "I will remove the psychological barrier to entry for contributors by providing a small, unadorned core and then daring to open source it in its unfinished state. After that, I'll be the pipe and the hub, dedicated to connecting people." I also practice this consciously. I have not talked about this with other people outside of this interview, but I believe that Mr. Kuzukawa, the representative of the company, would agree with me because we share the same values. I really like the corporate culture that allows me to advance my own ideas at my own discretion, and I enjoy putting my energy into my work every day.

I would recommend people like this to join System I

In this industry, no matter what you do, you must first have technical skills. If you want to learn technology, if you are confident in your skills, if you want to pursue those skills, if you want to write articles or books, if you are chasing the latest technology without being asked by anyone, and if you agree with my way of thinking, please apply.
